Looking
for a fun vacation for the entire family. Put-in-Bay is a great family
destination and Harbour View Suites is a great place for the family to
stay.
We are located on East Point, within the Village Limits and
adjacent to the National Park Service's Perry Memorial. The 352-foot
Doric column has an observation platform (at 317 feet) that offers an
excellent view of the island, the surrounding islands and even the
Detroit River on a clear day.
The memorial and the Perry's Victory Visitor
Center is less than a 5 minute walk from our very modern Put in
Bay lodging.
Here's some ideas for planning your stay at Put-in-Bay.
We recommend first time visitors take the
Island Tour Train. The Tour Train gives a 55-minute narrated
historical tour of Put-in-Bay and makes stops at several popular
attractions, including Heineman Winery and Crystal
Cave and the Perry Cave Family Fun Center.
Perry's Cave Family Fun Center
is the number one destination for kids. Perry's Cave has
-
20-minute narrated tour of Perry's Cave
where Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry discovered an underground stream
to provide 50 degree drinking water for his men.
-
Free Antique Car Museum filled with more
than a dozen vintage vehicles many of them original to Put-in-Bay.
-

different levels of ability and fun.
-

-
There is also a shelter house and gas
grill's for picnikers and a small concession stand.
Across the street from
Perry's Cave is Heineman Winery. Heineman's
offers a double-tour of the winery and Crystal Cave, located beneath the
winery.
Crystal
Cave is the largest geode reported to be discovered. The cave is lined
in crystals and is large enough for people to stand inside of it.
Downtown is the Lake Erie Islands
Historical Museum. The museum has 6,000 square feet of exhibits,
a movie and a wonderful model ship collection.
